Uppsala
Uppsala, with 180,000 inhabitants, is Sweden’s fourth largest city. Unique cultural treasures and an exciting history are to be found in the city of knowledge and inspiration. Uppsala has retained its small-town charm while offering a big city’s selection of shops, restaurants, and things to do.

Uppsala is 40 minutes from Stockholm and 17 minutes from Arlanda International Airport.

Bus 801 service Arlanda-Uppsala. During peak traffic, buses depart every 20 minutes.

Taxis are available directly outside the airport terminals. They are divided into different price categories. Taxis in the lowest price category are in the taxi ranks closest to the terminals. Speak with the taxi rank officer if you want a particular taxi company or if you are simply uncertain about anything. The fixed fare to Uppsala is about € 45.

Trains departure from the train station at Arlanda. Uppsala can be reached both by the long distance and Upptåget.

Excursion

On Sunday 24 August there will be a day trip to Bengt and Anne-Charlotte Mannervik’s vacation place at Gräsö in Roslagen, the archipelago northeast of Uppsala. Transportation (1.5 hrs) by bus will be provided, and participants will return to Uppsala in the late afternoon of Sunday 24 August.
