Invitation
In January 2007, the DIVISION OF
THEORETICAL CHEMISTRY of the Swedish Chemcial Society was formed. Time
has now come for our first Annual Meeting, to be held at Örebro
University, September 21-22 2007. The Symposium will contain a mix of
lectures, invited speakers and poster session. Part of the Division's
work is to strengthen the connection between the theoretical chemistry
communities of the Nordic countries, which is reflected in the list of
invited speakers of the Symposium. In addition, the Norblad-Ekstrand
Medal of the Swedish Chemical Society will be presented to Prof.
Roland Kjellander.
Theoretical chemistry is by the
Division defined in the widest possible sense, containing
quantum chemistry, molecular
physics, formalistic development, molecular simulations & modelling,
computational materials science, computer-aided drug design, nano/bio
technology, bioinformatics, cellular modelling, and related.
We hereby invite participants
from Academia, Industry and Education, with activities or interest in
theoretical chemistry to parttake in the Symposium.
