Trends in Organic Chemistry 2005
Synthetic Receptors
Monday June 13 2005
Lund University
The Symposium is aiming at presenting state of the art research in key areas of organic chemistry to participants from Swedish academia and industry. Molecular recognition events lie at the heart of virtually all life processes and are fundamental for creating molecular devices and sensors. Hence, the study of molecular recognition and its practical applications are research fields of significant importance. The topic of the present symposium, synthetic receptors, concerns fundamental aspects of molecular recognition, as well as applications such as sensors and catalysts. The receptors are either constructed by a close interaction between molecular modelling and organic synthesis or by approaches based on combinatorial chemistry.
The annual proceedings of The Division of Organic Chemistry will be held during the symposium.
